Crkva sv. Josipa erected on Marijin dvor in 1940 according to the design of Karel PaÅ™ik reveals neo-Romanesque style with walls made in white stone from Herzegovina. Simplified structure with each element articulating symmetry and balance is in perfect symbiosis with the surrounding area. This is PaÅ™ik’s last master piece of architecture and the square in front of the church bares his name. The church itself a museum and richly decorated marble altar given as gift from Pope Pius XII. Stained-glass kept in the church are real objets d’art but were unfortunately severely damaged during the 1992-1995 war.
