Campofilone is a Medieval town overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It was built in the 11th century on top of a hill and the city centre was developed around San Bartolomeo Benedictine Abbey.
From the 12th century to 1342, the Abbey was under the control of Fermo bishopric. Via degli Orti with its vaults, Viale dei Pini, Porta Marina Tower , Porta da Sole and Porta da Bora are interesting historical marks.
