Few years ago family Veraja was the first one in the Neretva valley which began with intensive production of grapes and wine in their own cellars. That broke the previous belief that low-lying parts of the Neretva valley are not suitable for growing grapes, and that on the fields nearby Metković, beside mandarins, quality wine grape varieties can be grown: Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon. The cellars are modernized, and grapes processing is done by the most modern technologies. Wine tastings are organized as well.
