Skakavac Waterfall is located only 12 km from Sarajevo at the foot of the Bukovik Peak (1534m) on the slopes of Mt. Ozren. This 98-m tall waterfall is the second tallest in Europe. The waterfall is surrounded by endemic flora and fauna species, in addition to some medicinal herbs species, which extend through the entire area called the Natural Monument. From the monument gate representing the entrance into the Natural Monument „Skakavac“ to the actual waterfall there is a 4-km natural trail through the woods.
