The most characteristic and most distinctive part of Opuzen is the local square, it is a large, deep, almost theatrical space, on which there is a church of Sv. Stephen which was built in the late 19th century in the form of neoclassicism. Thirteen Tonne of heavy monolithic bench, placed next to the church of St. Stephen, represents a legend about the origin of Opuzen, on a river shoal. Motifs of olives and stone, full of associations and memories, as well as wall stone monuments from the ancient remains, will not leave anyone indifferent.
