If you take the path from the center of Metković that leads over the city, you will find yourself on the hiking trails that originate from the Austro – Hungarian Empire. The rich forests, which from the Å ibanica extends to the neighboring hill Predolac is declared as a forest park Predolac-Å ibanica and it is protected in 1968, the decision is covering the surface of 67 hectares. This forest area is the most valuable and best preserved forest complex in the town of Metković. Predolac and Å ibanica area is significant in winter for many bird species, especially birds.
