Province of Padua – Italy
The Province of Padua is situated North-East of Italy in Veneto
Region: it covers an area of 2.141,6 Km2 and it has 938.396 inhabitants (2014). It is one of the seven Provinces of Veneto Region.
It represents 104 Municipalities.
The Tourism and EU Cooperation Unit of the Province of padua has a strong competence and capacity on planning and implementing tourism actions and raise awareness on policies. In particular the Unit has these specific competences in administrative management of tourism operators as travel agencies, guide, tour leader and so on, administrative management of accomodation, Tourist Information and welcome (both with info points and planning ICT systems), Destination Management actions.
Province of Padua is one of the most charming and dynamic area in Italy. The historical centre of Padua town and the whole territory of the province boast a wealth of medieval, renaissance and modern architecture; here a fascinating mix of historic and new, of centuries-old traditions and metropolitan. The surroundings area is characterized by diverse landscapes and several thematic tourism segments are important, such as spa, food&wine, bicycle and fluvial tourism, cultural tourism.
