The river Louros starts from the eastern side of Tomaros and proceeds south, between the mountains of Thesprotiko and Xerovouni. It cuts the plain of Filippiadas, receives the waters of tributaries and after route 66 Km approximately poured in Amvrakikos Gulf, the western part of prosichogenous plain of Arta. The Louros River is an integral part of the ecosystem of Amvrakikos Gulf and the wider region.
